I am number three in a family of seven children. I have been baking and cooking as long as I can remember. When I was young I belonged to a Cooking Club as part of the 4H Club. I now have four grown children, three married and one engaged to be married next fall. As an adult I have worked in the Public School System, Private School System and a Facility for the Elderly. My most current position was working at a Residential Rehabilitation Center for Women which was a place where pregnant women or women who already had children under the age of 4 could seek guidance and assistance. I cooked for them and taught them basic cooking skills, and got to play Grandma to all the kids, it was wonderful. Unfortunately, with the economy being the way it is, the doors closed permanently, in August of 2009.
This is when I decided to become an entrepreneur. The one thing that has been a constant in my life, is my desire for baking and to make all the people in my life happy. So I've decided to combine my two passions and share them with the world, so here I am today, starting Sweet Treat Greetings, and now I am able to help others express their happiness, gratitude and love, doing something that makes me happy!
